Inc.
(KHI)
No.

Camping
World
Chevrolet
Silverado
team
dominated
the
Sam’s
Town
400K
at
Texas
Motor
Speedway
(TMS)
on
Friday,
June
6.
Hornaday
led
140
of
the
172
laps,
setting
a new
track
record
for
most
laps
led
by
the
winner,
and
held
off
Kyle
Busch
on
the
final
restart
to
pick
up
his
first
win
at
TMS,
second
of
the
2008
season
and
35th
of
his
NASCAR
Truck
Series
career,
extending
his
lead
in
all-time
NASCAR
Truck
Series
victories.
“This
is
Texas,
right?
This
is
just
so
awesome
to
win
here,”
Hornaday
said.
“It’s
a
great
race
track
and I
want
to
thank
the
fans
here,
they
always
make
it
exciting
to
race
here.
We’ve
always
had
good
trucks
here
but
to
finally
win
at
Texas,
it’s
just
great.”
Hornaday
took
the
lead
for
the
first
time
as he
passed
pole-sitter
Justin
Marks
on
the
second
lap
and
led
the
next
32
laps.
When
the
first
caution
of
the
race
came
out
on
lap
32,
crew
chief
Rick
Ren
called
Hornaday
down
pit
road
to
take
four
tires
and
fuel.
The
No.
33
Camping
World
Chevrolet
Silverado
team
made
a
good
stop
and
quickly
got
Hornaday
back
out
onto
the
track
in
the
lead
for
the
restart
on
lap
37.
He
led
the
next
10
laps
before
KHI
teammate
Jack
Sprague
took
the
lead
on
lap
47.
A few
laps
later,
Hornaday
passed
Sprague
to
retake
the
lead
for
the
next
eight
laps
before
pitting
for
four
tires
and
fuel
when
the
second
caution
of
the
night
came
out
on
lap
60.
Hornaday
restarted
on
lap
65
from
the
third
position.
He
retook
the
lead
on
lap
71
and
led
the
next
17
laps.
Hornaday
was
running
in
the
second
position
behind
Sprague
after
his
truck’s
handling
went
to
the
loose
side
during
the
long
run
under
green.
On
lap
112
the
caution
came
out
after
Colin
Braun
spun
through
the
front
stretch.
Ren
called
him
down
pit
road
for
the
final
time
to
take
four
tires
and
fuel.
Another
quick
stop
by
the
No.
33
Camping
World
Chevrolet
Silverado
team
put
Hornaday
in
the
lead
for
the
final
time
coming
off
pit
road.
In
the
closing
laps,
when
it
seemed
that
Hornaday
would
easily
cruise
to
victory,
his
six
truck-length
lead
over
second
place
Kyle
Busch
disappeared
when
the
caution
came
out
after
Scott
Speed
was
involved
in an
accident
in
turn
four.
With
the
race
going
over
the
scheduled
167
laps,
the
field
was
bunched
up
for
one
attempt
at a
green-white-checkered
finish.
Hornaday,
known
for
being
the
“Master
of
Restarts,”
drove
away
from
Busch
and
the
rest
of
the
field
to
capture
his
first
Truck
Series
win
at
Texas.
Hornaday
regained
the
NASCAR
point
standings
lead
after
the
win
and
leads
second
place
Matt
Crafton
by 45
points.
